About this service
Lift cables carry the spring's force down to the bottom of the door. When one frays or jumps its drum, the door immediately goes crooked, and forcing it through another cycle usually pulls the whole assembly further out of line.
We replace cables in pairs, re-seat the drums, set equal tension on both sides and correct whatever caused the failure — a loose drum, a rough pulley, a bent bottom bracket or a door that has been running out of square.

New cables of the correct length and rating are fitted to the bottom brackets and drums.
Set equal tension
Drums are re-seated and locked so both cables carry the door evenly.
Cause and cycle check
We correct what caused the wear, then cycle the door and re-check tracking.
