About this service
An opener fault and a door fault feel identical from the driveway. The remote does nothing, or the motor runs and the door stays put, and it is hard to tell whether the problem is the machine on the ceiling or the door it is pulling.
We separate the two before touching a part. The door is tested off the opener for balance, then the opener itself is checked for gear wear, sprocket play, sensor alignment, travel and force limits, wall control wiring, logic board faults and remote programming.

It depends on the fault and the unit. A gear kit, sensor or board repair is often sensible on a sound opener; a unit with multiple failures or no available parts is usually better replaced, and we will explain which situation you are in.
Most often the photo eyes are misaligned, dirty or loose, or the close force is set too low. Occasionally the door itself is binding and the opener is doing exactly what it should.
