Full system assessment
We cycle the door manually and under power to find where the resistance actually begins.
Diagnosis and repair for doors that stick, sag, grind or refuse to move.
A garage door is the largest moving object on most Barrie homes, and it carries hundreds of pounds through a full cycle every time you leave the driveway. When one part of that system drifts out of tolerance, the whole door tells you about it — a bind at the halfway point, a shudder on the way down, a corner that hangs lower than the other.
Our repair work starts with the mechanics rather than the symptom. We cycle the door, check balance off the opener, inspect springs, cables, hinges, rollers and track alignment, then repair the parts that are actually causing the fault so the door runs smoothly instead of masking a deeper problem.
How It Works
We cycle the door manually and under power to find where the resistance actually begins.
Spring tension, drum wind and cable length are measured against the weight of your door.
Worn hardware is replaced and alignment corrected using parts matched to the door's specification.
We run the door through repeated cycles, reset opener force and travel, and confirm safety reversal.
FAQ
Still unsure? Call (647) 493-8072 or email info@suregaragerepair.ca.
It is better not to. A door that binds is loading the opener, cables and rollers unevenly, and a small alignment problem often turns into a broken cable or bent track if the door keeps cycling.
Whichever is mechanically correct for the part. Hinges, rollers, brackets and track sections are replaced when they are worn or deformed; alignment, tension and fastening issues are repaired in place.
Most residential repairs are completed in one visit. If a door needs a non-stock panel or a specialty part, we tell you before any work begins.
