About this service

Replacing a garage door changes the front of a house more than almost any other single upgrade, and in Barrie winters it also changes how much heat the garage loses. An installation is only as good as its measurements, its spring sizing and its final balance.

We measure the opening, headroom, backroom and side clearance before recommending a door, then install the sections, track, hardware and spring system so the door is properly counterbalanced. Insulated panel options are available where the garage is attached or used as a workspace.

How It Works

The garage door installation process

Measure and specify

Opening width, height, headroom and backroom are measured, and door weight determines the spring specification.

Remove the old door

The existing door, track and spring system are safely de-tensioned and removed from the opening.

Install and align

Sections, track, hinges, rollers and hardware are set plumb and square to the opening.

Commission the door

Springs are wound to the door weight, the opener is set to the new travel, and safety reversal is confirmed.
